Frank van Mens, a being with such broad horizons, passed away on April 25 in Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands. He was 48 years old. Spirts such as these are rare in life and worth nurturing and cultivating for they form the essence of any culture and can only improve our standing in this troubled world of ours.

A fine artist by any standards, Frank more importantly showed us the need to humble ourselves, to recognize inequity everywhere, and to be vigilant in these troubled times, and all this with a measure of love and respect for others. As a result he lived on a tightrope, a highwire performer who truly risked his life. Long live the Spirit of Frank van Mens who will be missed but never forgotten.

Greetings from Frank van Mens from somewhere out there.

"I'll make a little danse.
I'll note down my experiences.
I will focus on the patterns.
The big question of course is what I want to express or will this simply follow what I'm doing?
Imagine that 2000 years are stored.
All that happened in one stone.
We will take this stone upon our shoulders and danse with it.
I think really it's the best thing to do in these times where the light has almost gone.
We better ignite before it's to late.
Full speed ahead with the Zazaboomerang show!"

Such a day
Nothing
A price to pay
For consuming
Too much alcohol
Where are we? This being nowhere.

In what kind of universe did they throw me?
Why?
This story of humanity has no beginning and no end
What is the idea? Feb. 9 1996

Harry is telling me often
"Down with the American cast system"

In a province town of the netherlands in january - so small as everything is and grey - suffocating and the people are the same nothing may arise - light is danger - in such world one becomes crazy or depressed or there is the possibility if you are lucky to run away.

What do you want
please me - please
it doesn't
no it won't
in life
real and true
incredible sad
in a park
nothing possible
future is very
bright indeed
the achievements
western culture
finally understood
there is nothing
to conquer -
nothing to gain
ah the society,ah
ah democracy, ah
people die of cancer
people die in accidents
as well
slaughterhouses and
sex and lust and life
in reverse
rivers of blood and gold
endless numbers of animals
killed
there is choice
no compromise

metropole
mass
economy
system
earth
growth
technology
love
solidarity
resources
people
animals
water
oil
air

Time
Time stood still
Runs faster
Time only delayed the moment
Might end in a gigantic explosion
So I don't have to torture myself that much
Or any longer.
She said that she didn't have to live that much longer
She got an operation and more
And she told further that the surgeon - in his thirties - very skilled and a nice person with a brilliant career ahead died
after a stupid accident on his sporting bike - he turned over
and broke his neck.
If he still would have been there.
If
She is still here and alive.
